"There isn't any heart epidemic, there isn't any fresh data. What exactly the NICE is doing is basing everything on research done, essentially, and that's the worrying bit, by the pharmaceutical industry... And, as a matter of fact... the British Medical Journal... has analysed that data and they say the harm is more than the benefit...Thank you Doctor Chand.
A few years ago I started taking statin, knowing that, yes, it has all the benefits, and, I tell you, after a few weeks I started having muscle aches, my sleep disturbance... We know that, at least one percent of people... developed diabetes type 2. Memory loss that's another one.
So, in a way, what pharmaceutical company does... they hype up the benefits and deflate the harms...
Just remember one thing, eighty percent of of the causes where you have heart disease, is nothing to do with cholesterol. It's to do with your lifestyle, with your smoking, with what you eat, diet-related. So, in a way, it will give false assurance to people that you take Statins and forget about the lifestyle sort of things...
I'm not undermining Statins. Statins should be used judiciously, where they are needed. Not for healthy people. Not for you and me."
Nice to know there are still people around who care, isn't it? Nice to know there are still people around who are prepared to blow the whistle on the big-shots.
G.D. Searle, the maker of the notorious sweetener Aspartame (Nutrasweet), was acquired by the even more notorious GM company, Monsanto, in 1985. Pharmacia Corporation was created in 2000 through the merger of Pharmacia Upjohn with Monsanto and G.D. Searle. The pharmaceutical giant, Pfizer, acquired Pharmacia in 2003.
Pfizer is the company that produces Statins.
P.S. Check out the 'Aspartame' and 'Monsanto' links. The kind of ruthless folk that own and run corporations like G.D. Searle, Monsanto and Pfizer are, along with the big shot bankers, the true rulers of the world.
