"We have minority communities in this country which come from backgrounds where corruption is endemic. It is something as politicians we have to wake up to."Enoch Powell was awake to it forty five years ago, Dominic. Ninety percent of your men on the Clapham Omnibus were complaining about it in the early fifties and Oswald Mosley and the British Blackshirts was speaking out about it twenty years before that. How come it's taken you so long to spot the stone bl**ding obvious?
"I can see many of them have come because of the opportunities that they get. But they also come from societies where they have been brought up to believe you can only get certain things through a favour culture... It's not acceptable."Asked if he was referring to the Pakistani community, the UK's top law officer replied:
"Yes, it's mainly the Pakistani community."As regards the forthcoming arrival of the Bulgarian and Romanian multitudes in 2014, he said:
"The volume of immigrants may pose serious infrastructure issues."Ladies and gents, stone bl**ding obvious though the comparitive 'corruption' within the 'minority communities' has been for anywhere between forty-five and eighty years now, we mustn't be too hard on a top table type when he shows the odd sign of giving a damn. We must wish him well and hope that he doesn't run out of truth-telling puff when those who have a problem with the actualité start banging off in his all-new fact-happy direction.
"It shouldn't be made as an issue for one particular ethnic community... I worry about the complacency in this country about white Anglo-Saxon Protestant corruption."Which is the sort of totally unbiased, yet strangely anti-indigenous claptrap the Lib Dems have a decades long reputation for. He added:
"You see things deteriorating and that shouldn’t be made into an ethnic thing."But what if it IS an ethnic thing, Johnny? If we don't focus on what IS, aren't we likely to arrive at what ISN'T and deteriorate even more?
“As a member of the British Pakistani community myself, I found these comments were ill-advised and I’m afraid the very general way in which Dominic is trying to make the points he is making will have the net effect of being seen as purely populist in nature.”'Populist.' Now there's a word that the non-democrat, the global elite and the PC Crowd all loathe. It means 'popular with the majority' and/or 'what the majority want.' And, of course, what would make us happy tends to be be diametrically opposed to the unhappy-making stuff that invariably enthuses the aforementioned non-populists.
“Corruption is a crime that knows no ethnic boundaries."Which is one of those ultra-PC 'we're all as bad as each other (particularly the nasty white majority)' observations, so redolent of the Time of Tony.
Interestingly though, after fourteen years at the very top of the New Labour slagheap, where he was ideally placed to do something about the 'corruption' he cites, he admitted this soon after leaving office:
"There is a specific problem which involves Pakistani heritage men... who target vulnerable young white girls...
These young men are in a western society... they're fizzing and popping with testosterone, they want some outlet for that, but Pakistani heritage girls are off-limits and they are expected to marry a Pakistani girl from Pakistan, typically... So they then seek other avenues and they see these young women, white girls who are vulnerable, some of them in care... who they think are easy meat...
They ply them with gifts, they give them drugs, and then of course they're trapped."
Straw said what he said after a string of guilty verdicts (Keighley, Rotherham, Preston, Blackburn, Rochdale, Derby, Oxford etc.) had finally focused the attention of the mainstream media, and thus the wider public, upon the long-standing paedophilic abuse of vulnerable, young English girls by, for the most part, Pakistani Muslim men.
"What I don't think we can do is say that this is a cultural problem," he said.He then posed the question we'd all like answered:
"Why didn't Jack Straw say something about this before? He has represented Blackburn for 31 years, he's been the Home Secretary!"Shabana Mahmood said Dominic Grieve had made a 'wild extrapolation' based on 'a few flimsy facts' and her fellow Labour MP and namesake, Khalid Mahmood, accused him of political point scoring.
"What's his statistical evidence?" he wondered. On 10 June 2006, The Guardian reported thus:
"A secret high-level Metropolitan police report has concluded that Muslim officers are more likely to become corrupt than white officers because of their cultural and family backgrounds… The document was written as an attempt to investigate why complaints of misconduct and corruption against Asian officers are 10 times higher than against their white colleagues. In PC Wonderland, where the Hemmings, Straws, Karims and Mahmoods all congregate slipperily, everything that reflects badly on the immigrant must be 'toned down'. Oh, and everything that reflects well upon the indigenous must be 'toned down' as well. Mustn't forget that.
The main conclusions of the study, commissioned by the Directorate of Professional Standards and written by an Asian Detective Chief Inspector stated: 'Asian officers and, in particular, Pakistani Muslim officers are under greater pressure from the family, the extended family... and their community against that of their white colleagues to engage in activity that might lead to misconduct or criminality'.
It recommended that Asian officers needed special anti-corruption training and is now being considered by a working party of senior staff. The report argued that British Pakistanis live in a cash culture in which 'assisting your extended family is considered a duty...
The first version (of the report) was considered so inflammatory when it was shown to representatives from the staff associations for Black, Hindu, Sikh and Muslim Officers, that it had to be toned down!"
Anyway, I should imagine there will have been a ton of top cop 'statistical evidence' in the 'Asian Detective Chief Inspector's' report. Of course, the stats didn't stop the fact-unhappy types rubbishing the report back then (even though the liberal bastion of all things PC, The Guardian, published its findings) just as they rubbished Dominic's off-message fumble with the facts last Friday. Oh yes, our betters really do tend to get all hot and bothered when the 'populist' truth interferes with the Wonderland edition of the Gospel according to St Marx.
If you're interested in acquainting yourself with a little more of the harsh reality they would rather you steered clear of, the interracial homicide statistics on view here will alert you to a few of the little known facts.
Of the aforementioned MPs, Karim and the Mahmoods are of Pakistani Muslim origin. Vaz is an African Asian and Straw is 'third-generation Jewish.' Grieve is English (with, so I'm reliably informed, some Jewish ancestry).
As for John Hemming, who is also English, his lovely, fluffy Lib Dem credentials didn't stop him cheating on his wife and impregnating his personal secretary a while back. After said lady had given birth to his child, it didn't prevent him voting for himself when nominated for a 'love rat of the year' competition either.
His wife was, subsequently, given a nine month suspended sentence for stealing his lover's cat.
Such is the behavioural norm in PC Wonderland.
