Paedophilia is not a crime, it's an illness!

On 16 March 2013, the Catholic Archbishop of Durban, Wilfrid Fox Napier, said this on BBC Radio 5:

"What do you do with disorders? You have got to try and put them right... From my experience PAEDOPHILIA IS ACTUALLY AN ILLNESS, IT IS NOT A CRIMINAL CONDITION, IT IS AN ILLNESS."

Barbara Dorries, from the US-based Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, told the BBC:
"The bishops and the cardinals have gone to great lengths to cover these crimes to enable the predators to move on, to not be arrested, to keep the secrets within the church."
The Cadinal's attitude nicely summarises why perverts within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church have been getting away with what they do for so long. Apparently, if you are suffering from the illness of paedophilia, and you happen to be a priest, you can abuse little boys and girls and get away with it. At least, you ought to be able to get away with it, according to Cardinal Napier.

I say a man who rapes a child should be castrated and seperated from the general community forever. A repeat offended should be executed. And the cleric who would excuse the offender should be publically flogged and defrocked.
