Gordon's leadership make a Conservative victory likely

On 5 June 2009, James Purnell's resignation letter was seen in The Times.

This said:

“Dear Gordon, I NOW BELIEVE YOUR CONTINUED LEADERSHIP MAKES A CONSERVATIVE VICTORY MORE, NOT LESS LIKELY.”
This is true, of course.

“This moment calls for stronger regulation, an active state, better public services, an open democracy. It calls for a Government that measures itself by how it treats the poorest in society.”
Suggesting that New Labour wasn't giving us these things before? Well spotted, Jimmy!

“We therefore owe it to our country to give it a real choice."
What? You're going to stop taking the mickey out of the British people? You're going to stop putting the foreigner first in the land that the British people made? You're going to stop telling lies about British Nationalism and start telling the truth about the New World Order?

Oh, I see. A 'real' choice between Lib, Lab and Con. No choice at all then. As my dear old dad used to say: 'They all p*** in the same pot.'

“We need to show that we are prepared to fight to be a credible Government.”
You've had twelve, long years to show us this, Jimmy. Time’s up, son.

“I am therefore calling on you to STAND ASIDE to give our Party a fighting chance of winning.”
I like the 'stand aside' bit. Not so keen on the 'chance of winning' scenario, though. A few more years of the traitorous immigrant-first, banker-cuddling from the Brit-bashing walletstuffers of New Labour would see a civil war break out in this country.
