The age of irresponsibility

On 26 September 2008, Gordon Brown said this to the UN General Assembly in New York.

"THE AGE OF IRRESPONSIBILITY MUST BE ENDED! WE MUST NOW BECOME THAT NEW GLOBAL ORDER FOUNDED ON TRANSPARENCY!"
Thus spake the former Prudent Chancellor. Who has been at the heart of the 'irresponsibility' for the last 11 years? Who has promoted and encouraged it? Who put the greedy and irresponsible bankers and big businessmen before the British people? At every turn?

Do you remember what Peter Mandelson, the architect of New Labour, said in 1998?

"The Party is intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich."
Oh yes, ladies and gents, THEY have betrayed us. And they did so with a Mandelsonian smirk lighting up their insane, far-seeing certitude.

Globalism, the kind that the shiny-eyed Blairs and Browns preach with such epic conviction, is responsible for the 'irresponsibility' Brown now rails, disingenuously, against. The traitor that now rules over us is almost as disgusting as the traitor that went before.

Brown rammed home the globalist message thus:

"This cannot just be national anymore. WE MUST HAVE GLOBAL SUPERVISION... America and Britain have always stood together as one in times of difficulty and challenging times, and I have told President Bush today that, facing global turbulence, Britain supports the US plan. Whatever the details of it, it is the right thing to do."
That's it Gordon, 'whatever' the smirking chimp types (and those who own and operate them) want is OK with you. We do know what you mean.

A survey of 1,012 people for BBC Two's Daily Politics Show told us that just 36 per cent trusted Brown and Chancellor Alistair Darling to steer the UK's economy through the downturn. That would be the most brainwashed, dim and bought-and-paid-for 36 per cent, one supposes.

On 23 August 2008, Leo McKinstry said this in The Daily Mail:

"IN OUR EVER MORE GLOBALISED WORLD INSTINCTIVE PATRIOTISM IS BEING DILUTED. THE CONCEPT OF NATIONHOOD HAS BEEN UNDERMINED BY MASS IMMIGRATION AND THE IMPOSITION OF THE DOGMA OF MULTI-CULTURALISM. Our economy is increasingly tied up with the global financial system, dominated by multinational giants which see borders as irrelevant. Supra-national bodies, such as the UN and the EU, have a mounting influence over our political governance...

Only last month, in a rhetorical and extravagant speech to the Israeli parliament, Gordon Brown called on the nations of the world to ensure that our era becomes ‘THE CENTURY OF THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY’. In one overblown passage, HE PLEDGED TO ‘MAKE A REALITY OF THE VISION OF A GLOBAL SOCIETY IN WHICH WE CREATE GLOBAL CIVIC INSTITUTIONS that turn words of friendship into bonds of human solidarity’...

In the opening years of the 21st century, we may now actually be heading towards the creation of an informal kind of WORLD GOVERNMENT... HIDDEN FROM THE CAMERAS AND THE PUBLIC, CRUCIAL DECISIONS ABOUT OUR LIVES ARE BEING TAKEN BY A GLOBAL ELITE which has no roots in any single country…

TODAY’S GLOBAL ELITE IS NOT DEDICATED TOWARDS FURTHERING ANY NATIONAL INTEREST, BUT THE OPPOSITE. Suspicious of nationalism, borders and sovereignty, it is driven by the desire to shape global economic forces for the furtherance of wealth creation… Sheltered from their own societies, they have more in common with each other than with people from their countries of origin...

The new elite is utterly unaccountable. The point of democracy is that leaders should be accountable for their decisions, giving the public the ultimate say over the government. that process is bypassed by the new elitists as they huddle together at Davos or the world bank or UN…

The vast disparities in wealth across the world continue to worsen, making the ostentatious wealth of the elitists appear all the more obscene."
Two weeks later, on 8 September 2008, McKinstry said this in The Daily Express:

"LABOUR'S POLICY ON IMMIGRATION HAS BEEN A WRECKING BALL AT THE HEART OF OUR SOCIETY. OUR BORDERS AND IDENTITY HAVE BEEN DESTROYED. The fabric of our towns and cities has been transformed.

A ONCE HOMOGENOUS, GENTLE, COHESIVE NATION HAS BEEN CHANGED INTO AN OVERCROWDED LANDMASS FULL OF CONFLICTING ETHNIC GROUPS. THANKS TO 11 YEARS OF DESTRUCTIVE RULE UNDER BROWN AND BLAIR, BRITAIN IS BECOMING A PLACE WITHOUT SOUL OR SENSE OF MUTUAL BELONGING.

For too long, THE POLITICAL CLASSES HAVE COLLUDED IN THE GOVERNMENT’S DETERMINATION TO WIPE OUT OUR NATIONHOOD. Fearful of accusations of ‘racism’, THEY HAVE JOINED IN THE OFFICIAL PANTOMIME CALLED ‘CELEBRATING CULTURAL DIVERSITY’, THE PROCESS BY WHICH BRITONS ARE MEANT TO EXPRESS JOY AT THE RUINATION OF THEIR OWN COUNTRY."
On 20 September 2008, Peter Oborne said this in The Daily Mail:

"Gordon Brown's plan for bailing himself out of trouble before the start of the Labour Party conference is now obvious. Together with senior Cabinet ministers, he will launch a concerted bid to avoid blame for the economic crisis and place all the responsibility on greedy bankers and City traders…

Of course, it is right to say that reckless bankers have played a central role in creating the crisis. However, the problem is that Gordon Brown… (has) absolutely no right to make such criticism… For many years, I have urged (him) to distance himself from the investment bankers who surround him like bees round a honey pot…

Throughout the 12 years of New Labour government, ministers have tailored regulatory and taxation policies to make life easy for bankers. In the late nineties, almost as soon as Gordon Brown took charge of the treasury, TAXATION POLICY WAS CHANGED TO HELP THE PRIVATE EQUITY COMPANIES THAT HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY LAID WASTE TO MUCH OF BRITISH INDUSTRY, WHILE CREATING GIANT FORTUNES FOR THEIR BOSSES — MANY OF THEM NEW LABOUR CRONIES.

THAT CRUCIAL REFORM WAS MADE AT A TIME WHEN SEVERAL OF THOSE PRIVATE EQUITY MOGULS WERE DONATING MONEY TO THE LABOUR PARTY…

THE TRUTH IS THAT LABOUR HAS BEEN THE PARTY OF FREEWHEELING INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL FOR MORE THAN A DECADE. IN COLLABORATION WITH THE GLOBAL CORPORATE ELITE, IT HAS CREATED THE PERFECT CONDITIONS FOR THE INEVITABLE FINANCIAL STORM THAT STRUCK THIS WEEK.

TONY BLAIR AND GORDON BROWN CREATED A SOFT TAX AND REGULATORY REGIME FOR HEDGE FUND MANAGERS, SHARE SPECULATORS, PRIVATE EQUITY SHARKS, INVESTMENT BANKERS AND THE WORST KIND OF FINANCIAL SPIV."
On 5 June 2006, the BBC reported thus:

"In a speech to the CBI in London, Gordon Brown stressed that economic patriotism by European countries means they are failing to create a single market. He sees the fact that some European countries have blocked recent cross-border corporate takeovers as a sign that such patriotism is growing."

On 21 July 2008, Gordon Brown said this in the Israeli Knesset:

"I am especially pleased - as the first British Prime Minister to address the Knesset - to congratulate you at this sixtieth anniversary on THE ACHIEVEMENT OF 1948: the centuries of exile ended, the age-long dream realised, the ancient promise redeemed - the promise that even amidst suffering, you will find your way home to the fields and shorelines where your ancestors walked."

On 19 March 2008, Gordon Brown said this at the opening of the Black Britannia photographic exhibition at London's City Hall:

"This is not just a celebration of the achievements of fifty remarkable people, it is a celebration of the whole contribution of black people to British culture and to British public life. And we all know the contribution of black people to Britain goes far beyond that of the household names celebrated in this exhibition. Quite simply, Britain wouldn't be Britain without the contribution of its black doctors, teachers, writers, business people, entertainers, artists, sportsmen and women."
10 Downing Street's web site added:

"The exhibition is a collection of photographs by one of Fleet Street's first black photographers, John Ferguson, and features photos of black British role models including Lewis Hamilton, Dr John Sentamu, Sir Trevor McDonald and singer Jamelia."
